Sunflower festival ramping up early bloomers weekend

Ryan and Camille McPeek are excited to add to the annual sunflower festival at Coshocton KOA on County Road 10 in August .
The Coshocton Sunflower Festival offers a 4-acre field of more than 40 varieties of sunflowers . There are many photo opportunities scattered throughout the field including a 1940s Chevrolet . Guests are invited to take as many pictures as they want .
The 2022 season dates are
Aug . 6 , Sippin ’ on Sunshine : Wine and Beer Tasting in Ohio ’ s Most Unique Sunflower Field ; Aug . 7 , Early Bloomers Day ; Aug . 8-9 , Early Weekdays ; Aug . 12-14 , Main Festival Weekend ; Aug . 18-19 , Late Weekdays ; and Aug . 20-21 , Final Weekend .
There will be live music on Aug . 6 , 7 , 12 , 13 , 14 , 20 and 21 . A variety of music is going to be presented so there is sure to be something for everyone . Craft vendors will be at the festival all three weekends .
Every ticket holder is able to cut one sunflower to take home . Attendees also may choose a Bucket o ’ Sunshine to fill with sunflowers during their visit . This can be purchased when people buy tickets online or can be bought during the festival . Sunflower bundles of six or 12 also can be purchased .
Guests are asked to arrive within 15 minutes of their reserved time slot . They can stay as long as they want after arrival . There is an open , grassy area where guests are welcome to spread a blanket and hang out . Remember there

are bees in the fields that are typically safe , but guests should bring necessary items with them in the event of a sting . Friendly pets are welcome at the festival but must be leashed , and owners are responsible for cleaning up .
