Schooler Family Foundation awards several grants

Established in 1985 by Seward and Edith Schooler , the Schooler Family Foundation provides funding for a range of philanthropic purposes including annual operating budgets , specific programs and projects , equipment , capital facilities and buildings , endowments , and capacity-building . It continues a long-standing commitment of support for the areas of economic development , environment , energy , education , human service , aging , religion , health care , recreation , science and medicine , historic preservation , leadership , civic engagement and citizenship , arts and culture , and community development .
In 2024 the Schooler Family Foundation awarded $ 394,104.94 in grants to 20 nonprofit organizations and agencies of government :
— East Central Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross : disaster preparedness and relief , services to the Armed Forces , and biomedical services and blood collection programs , $ 15,000 .
— Boy Scouts of America , Muskingum Valley Council : 2024 Scout Leadership Dinner , $ 2,500 .
— Clary Gardens : White Garden Arbor construction and perennial plantings , $ 13,292 .
— Coshocton In Bloom : storage facility construction , $ 25,000 .
— Coshocton City and County Park District : finishing mower for Eagle Ridge Disc Golf Course , $ 33,864.75 .
— Coshocton County Historic Cemeteries Preservation Collective : community garden at Royer Chapel and Cemetery , $ 2,045.15 .
— Foundation for Appalachian Ohio : 25-year celebration / Friends of FAO , $ 25,000 .
— Hanover Volunteer Fire Department : vehicle stabilization equipment , $ 8,675 .
— Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio : Coshocton County Schools

— Village of Frazeysburg : community pool cement application for diving board , $ 9,100 .
— Village of Warsaw : path extension at River View Community Park , $ 10,000 .
