Betty D . Bratton , 93 , of Coshocton , passed away at her home on January 19 , 2025 , surrounded by her family . Betty was born in Pulaski , VA , to the late Robert and Hazel ( Kane ) Via on January 10 , 1932 . Betty graduated from Pulaski High School in 1950 . On December 22 , 1951 , she married the love of her life Charles “ Doug ” Bratton , who preceded her in death June 8 , 2006 .
Betty and Charles later moved to Coshocton and raised three boys James ( Connie ) Bratton , Wayne Bratton and Paul ( Julie ) Bratton , all of Coshocton . She is also survived by seven grandchildren ; twelve great-grandchildren ; three great-greatgrandchildren ; and a sister , Bonnie ( Roger ) Matherly of Colonial Beach , VA .
Betty retired from Edmont Wilson in Coshocton and was a member of the Coshocton Baptist Church . For years she was

a very avid Tops 1574 member , and loved to walk , logging hundreds of miles . After retirement Betty was a Longaberger Basket Consultant . Betty had a heart of gold , and she never met a stranger . People often would ask when she moved to Ohio as she never lost her southern accent .
In addition to her parents and loving husband , she was preceded in death by three brothers , Doug Via , Jack Via , and Gene Via ; and two sisters , Marie ( Via ) Keesling and

John R . Unger , 75 , of Coshocton , passed away at Coshocton Genesis Medical Center on Monday January 13 , 2025 . John was born in Coshocton on April 27 , 1949 , to the late Robert and Lawanda E . ( Williamson ) Unger .
He graduated from Coshocton High School in the class of 1967 , served in the Army National Guard and retired from AEP Conesville Plant and RSO Union . John loved riding motorcycles , building and working on his race cars and traveling with his family .
John is survived by his wife Sandra “ Sandy ” Unger whom he married

and Matt ( Andrea ) Unger of Dresden ; grandchildren Emma & Will Pickins , Gannon Unger , Sydney Dawson , Jonah & Elijah Haines , Wyatt Unger , Zach Reid , and Brady Howell ; great grandchildren Rome & Liliah Dawson ; siblings Jerry ( Chris ) Unger , Jeff ( Sandy ) Unger all of Coshocton and Dave ( Kim ) Unger of Newark ; several nieces and nephews .
A graveside memorial service for John will be held in South Lawn Cemetery in the spring .
