Ridgewood boys face Malvern
Ridgewood’s boys golfed against
Malvern on Aug. 18 at River Greens
Golf Course. Malvern won with a
team score of 177.
Individual scores for Ridgewood
were Charlie Kilpatrick, 40
(co-medalist); Benny Shuck, 50;
Braden Bookless, 56; Zach Ervin, 56;
Cooper King, 61; and Ian McCurdy,
67.
The Generals then took on Indian
Valley but fell to them 183 to 190.
Individual scores for Ridgewood
were Charlie Kilpatrick, 37 (medalist);
Benny Shuck, 48; Zach Ervin,
49; Braden Bookless, 56; Cooper
King, 62; and Skyler Angle, 79.
RHS girls golf against
Newcomerstown
Ridgewood’s girls faced Newcomerstown
on Aug. 17 at Hickory Flats
Golf Course. Newcomerstown won
with a team score of 217 compared to
Ridgewood’s 238.
Individual scores for Ridgewood
were Lexi Zimmer, 38; Ashton
Secrest, 60; Shannon Cassidy, 69; and
Julia Geer, 71.
On Aug. 19 The Lady Generals fell
to Tusky Valley. Individual scores for
Ridgewood were Lexi Zimmer, 42;
Julia Geer, 66; Ashton Secrest, 68;
and Shannon Cassidy, 86.
River View
River View takes Coshocton Cup
The Coshocton Cup golf tournament
was recently held with teams
from Ridgewood, River View and
Coshocton high schoosl competing.
River View won with a team score
of 381. Individual scores were Austin
Bahmer, 77; Madalyn Cutshall, 91;
Coen Bible, 93; Paige Nicely, 120;
and Thad Cox, 127.
Ridgewood was second with a total
score of 401. Individual scores were
Charlie Kilpatrick, 75 (match medalist);
Benny Shuck, 103; Cooper King,
111; and Zach Ervin, 114.
Coshocton was third with a team
score of 468. Individual scores were
Brody Hammersly, 104; Gavin Mathias,
114; Carter Summers, 117; and
Camden Swigert, 133.
River View junior high golfers
pick up win
River View’s junior high golf team
recently played Barnesville and St.
Clairsville. River View came out on
top with a team score of 184.
Individual scores for River View
were Gavin Gress, 37 (medalist); Colton
Gress, 40; Caleb Kline, 51; Brynn
Harstine, 56; Peyton Everhart, 59; and
Makayla Gress, 66.
The young Black Bears then took
on Meadowbrook, St. Clairsville and
John Glenn. Team scores were St.
Clairsville, 179; John Glenn, 185;
River View, 187; and Meadowbrook,
252.
River View was led by Gavin
Gress, 36 (medalist); Colton Gress,
41; Caleb Kline, 54; Peyton Everhart,
56; and Brynn Harstine, 67.
They also battled Ridgewood and
New Philly and came out on top
with a team score of 189. The Black
Bears were led by Gavin Gress, 37
(medalist); Colton Gress, 38; Caleb
Kline, 50; Peyton Everhart, 64; Brynn
Harstine, 64; and Makayla Gress, 67.
River View girls host Garaway
The River View girls golf team
hosted Garaway on Aug. 20 at Hickory
Flats. Scores were Garaway at
173 and River View at 198.
The Black Bears were led by
Paige Nicely, 44; Madalyn Cutshall,
46; Cailey Shriver, 54; Chloey Geog,
54; Kiera McPeck, 60; and Emma
Ward, 64.
