Known for her depictions of rural life, her work captured the simplicity and charm of the American countryside. Despite having no formal art training, she gained national fame for her style and became a symbol of late-life creativity. Her paintings are celebrated for their vibrant colors, detailed scenes and heartwarming portrayal of everyday life.
No registration is needed. This program is offered at no charge and made possible with the support of the Ohio Arts Council. The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village at 300 N. Whitewoman St. in Coshocton. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p. m., and all Sundays are free admission to Coshocton County residents.

Drug Take-Back Day set for April 26

The Coshocton Public Health District and the Coshocton County Sheriff’ s Office will present Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m.
The event aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing unwanted or expired prescription medication while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse. They will not accept any liquids, syringes or inhalers but prescription pills only.
The collection site will be held in the parking lot of the health district, located at 637 Chestnut St. in Coshocton. The event will be set up in a drive-thru fashion.
It is the mission at Coshocton Public Health to ensure equitable access to care, prevent diseases, promote healthy behaviors, and protect the wellbeing and health environment for all community members.
