PAC hosting summer musical series
For the first time ever, the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscarawas will bring the magic of Hollywood to the big screen with the summer movie musical series. Beginning Tuesday, June 24, audiences can experience some of the most beloved movie musicals of all time in a cinematic setting with a 43-by-24-foot screen.
The lineup features eight movie musicals including“ Wicked,”“ Mamma Mia,”“ La La Land,”“ Chicago,”“ Grease,”“ Moulin Rouge,”“ Waitress” and“ The Greatest Showman.” Movies will be shown weekly on Tuesdays at 7 p. m.
As an added treat, all attendees will receive free popcorn, with bottled water and candy available for purchase. Ticket prices are $ 10 per movie, or a summer movie pass

The summer movie musical series schedule is as follows:“ Wicked” on June 24,“ Mamma Mia!” on July 1,“ La La Land” on July 8,“ Chicago” on July 15,“ Grease” on July 22,“ Moulin Rouge” on July 29,“ Waitress” on Aug. 5 and“ The Greatest Showman” on Aug. 12.
Tickets for the series are on sale at the Performing Arts Center box office, by calling 330-308-6400 or by visiting www. kent. edu / tuscpac. The box office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m.
Free parking is available for all shows. The Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of Kent State Tuscarawas at 330 University Drive NE in New Philadelphia.
Injury accident reported in Jackson Township
On April 24 at approximately 9:02 p. m., the Coshocton County Sheriff’ s Office received a 911 call in reference to an injury accident in the area of U. S. 36 and County Road 495 in Jackson Township.
Upon arrival of deputies, it was determined a 21-year-old male, Chase Chaney of Killbuck, was traveling west on U. S. 36 when he rear-ended a 43-year-old male, Darrell Lanham of Coshocton, who had stopped on U. S. 36 to make a left turn onto County Road 495.
Lanham was transported to Genesis of Coshocton by Coshocton County EMS for non-lifethreatening injuries.
Chaney did not report any injuries. Chaney had one passenger, an 18-year-old male, Caleb Johnson of Coshocton, who also reported no injuries.
Assisting at the scene were Coshocton County EMS, Jackson Township Fire Department and REACT.
