INFORMATION

EARLY IN-PERSON AND ABSENTEE-BY-MAIL DEADLINES:

• Early in-person voting for the May 6, 2025 Special Election will end at 5 p. m. on Sunday, May 4th. If after that time you still need to vote, you will need to do so at your polling location on Election Day.
• If you requested an absentee ballot by mail and plan to return it by mail, it must be postmarked by May 5th and received at the Board of Elections by May 10th.
• If you are returning a ballot in person, it needs to be returned to the Board of Elections office or drop box not later than 7:30 p. m. on Election Day. Absentee ballots CANNOT be returned to polling locations.
Please note that due to recent changes, if you are returning an absentee ballot other than your own, you cannot place it in the drop box; you must return it in the office and complete an affidavit attesting that you are either a member of the voter’ s family or the caretaker of a voter with a disability.

ELECTION DAY VOTING:

Election Day is Tuesday, May 6th. The polls will be open for voting from 6:30 a. m.- 7:30 p. m. There is no voting at the County Services Building on Election Day. You must vote at your polling location:

VOTER IDENTIFICATION:

An unexpired ID containing the voter’ s name and photograph is required to vote. The following forms of ID are acceptable under Ohio law:
• Ohio driver’ s license, state ID card, or interim documentation issued by the Ohio BMV. A digital driver’ s license is not valid. * An old address on the ID is permissible as long as the ID has not expired.
• A United States passport or passport card.
• A U. S. military ID card, Ohio National Guard ID card, or US Department of Veterans Affairs ID card.
