Robert Luther Mickelson
Edward L . Ramey
Robert Luther Mickelson , age 93 , of Worthington , formerly of Coshocton , passed away on Sunday , April 2 , 2023 . He was born on February 20 , 1930 , in Freeborn County , Minnesota to the late Luther and Olive ( Tuft ) Mickelson .
Bob graduated from St . Olaf College in Minnesota in 1951 , with a degree in Chemistry . He joined the United States Army , serving his country from 1953 to 1955 . He moved to Cambridge , Ohio to work for Vanadium Corporation , and soon met Louise Mitchell . They were married on June 23 , 1957 . Bob and Louise started their family , and eventually moved to Coshocton , Ohio where they lived for 44 years . In 2014 , they moved to the Columbus area .
Bob was a Metallurgist for 40 years . He was employed by Foote Mineral Corporation , Clow Corporation , and Burnham Corporation . He was an Elder and Deacon at the Presbyterian Church in Coshocton , and a life member of the Elks . In his spare time , Bob enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and meeting new people . He and Louise played Bridge , traveled , and enjoyed caring for their home and working in their yard . While in Columbus , Bob and Louise attended All Shepherds Lutheran Church . Bob was a wonderful husband , father , grandfather , and great-grandfather . He was a man of deep faith , and he shared this with his family .
Bob is survived by his three children , Beverly ( Jeff ) Ross of Dublin , Steven ( Alison ) Mickelson of Naperville , IL and Linda ( Pete ) Hores of Coshocton ; seven grandchildren , Katie ( Ty ) Holdcroft , Mike ( Kelley ) Ross , Melissa ( Dean Katamanin ) Mickelson , Matt ( Sarah ) Ross , Julia ( Cody Lipsin ) Mickelson , Derek ( Serena ) Mickelson and Eric Hores ; five greatgrandchildren , Lena Holdcroft , Liam Ross , Graham Ross , Jameson Ross , and Cooper Robert Ross ; and many nieces and nephews . Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife Louise , who passed away on February 18 , 2022 ; his brother , Gerald ( Darlene ) Mickelson and sister , Marjorie ( Bernard ) Hoium .
Visitation will be held on Sunday , April 16 , 2023 , from 3:00-4:00 pm at All Shepherds Lutheran Church , 6580 Columbus Pike , Lewis Center . A Memorial Service will follow at 4:00 pm , with Pastor Wendy Richter officiating . Graveside services will be held on Monday , April 17 , 2023 , at 11:00 am at Roscoe Cemetery in Coshocton , Ohio . Given-Dawson- Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family .

Richard Porter McCrea , 76 , of The Villages , FL died peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on March 29 , 2023 .
He was born November 2 , 1946 , in Coshocton , OH , and was the only child of the late Robert Park and Margaret ( Buffington ) McCrea .
He graduated from Alliance High School in 1964 where he played trumpet in the Marching Band . He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1968 , earning a BS in criminology . He later earned his Series 7 and 8 Licenses , Principal Licenses in Stocks , Bonds , Commodities , and became an Investment Advisor , managing investment offices in different regions while working for Prudential Bache , First Union Security , and helping TIB Bank of the Keys develop their Investment Division . He was an arbitrator with The American Arbitration Association . In June 2020 , he was included in Marquis Who ’ s Who .
He loved boating and being on the water . He held his Captain ’ s license for Deep Sea Fishing , and while living in the Florida Keys , would charter fishing trips on the weekends .
Richard Porter McCrea
Some of his fondest memories were spent on the water with his daughters and grandchildren .
He was an avid boater , golfer and loved playing Bridge or any card game . He was fiercely competitive and brutally honest . He carried a deep love for those closest to him and would do anything for them .
He was active in his church and was past manager of the Alliance Food Pantry and served on the Board of the Erie , PA Philharmonic .
He is survived by his partner of 12 years , Renee Hahlen Glosser , two daughters , Michele Stanley ( Steve Simon ) of Alliance , OH and Stephanie Holmes ( Chip ) of Oneonta , NY . Five grandchildren : Devon Robertson
