“I do not take truffles ‘just for fun’, but
because they give me insights in my life
and my own behavior. Sometimes even
about how the world works. It enlightens
me. Fortunately, there is a lot of research
that shows the positive effects the use of
mushrooms and ayahuasca have on
depression, for example. This takes away
the taboo which makes me happy. Mostly
because it helps me in so many ways: that
is what I want for others too. I struggled
with low self-esteem and an eating
disorder, but also with depressed feelings
and overthinking at times. This is all in the
past. I feel strong and optimistic. This all
made me sure that I wanted to do
something with psychology.
Besides being a therapist, I also provide
ceremonies including medicine plants to
let people take a look at themselves on
another level of consciousness. It may be a
little unorthodox, but I am a firm believer.“
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE
WITH ‘HOLY SHIT.’ IN THE FUTURE?
“I want to show people how they can
influence their own thoughts and how
much impact they have on their own
lives.
I want to help people get rid of their
mental health problems by letting
them live more freely, like I do myself.“
ARE THERE SKILLS YOU HAVE LEARNED
FROM IMEM THAT YOU USE IN YOUR
LIFE NOWADAYS?
“Yes! I use my skills especially with the
editing of my vlogs which also involve
some basic film techniques. I also used
to be editor at Brewed where I learned a
lot about the making of a magazine.”
WHAT IS YOUR GOLDEN TIP FOR PEOPLE
WHO WANT TO START THEIR OWN BUSINESS?
“Every week, schedule one day to work on your own business. It is not
something you can come up with in three days; it is something that has to
grow in your brain. Ideas come with time, and if you allow yourself to take
this time and figure everything out, you have a bigger chance to succeed.”
