McLANE CHILDREN’S: NEWS
Community Update
McLane Children’s could not exist without the unfailing support of our community.
McLane Children’s wins $10,000!
A huge thank you goes out to our Central
Texas community, who rallied behind
McLane Children’s to help the hospital win
4th place in the 2018 Vote for Miracles
contest. During the holiday season,
supporters around the country voted for their
favorite Children’s Miracle Network Hospital
to receive a share of a $100,000 donation
from Credit Unions for Kids. At McLane
Children’s, the Vote for Miracles funds will be
used toward our expansion project.
Home Run for Health
The rivalry between Belton and Midway baseball may be
fierce, but they put rivalries aside when it comes to our
children. The two teams came together to raise a total of
$2,683 for Mclane Children’s! McLane Children’s Champion
McKenzie Covert even got to throw the opening pitch at a
Midway game. Thank you to both teams for your support!
Optimist Club
A big thank you goes out to the Optimist Club of Copperas Cove
who raised $2,000 for McLane Children’s through their thrift
store sales. “The people in our community know what we do for
the children’s hospital and they are very generous,” says Sandy
Vegh, who owns the thrift store. Thank you, Optimist Club!
