From AI to Telescopes

Technology is one of the most important aspects of our daily lives. For instance, we use mobile phones to communicate, research and even use digital assistant to plan our day. There are various and countless fields in which we use technology. In this essay kinds of technologies used in astronomical research and how they changed throughout time will be dwelled on and explained further.
First technology which was used in this field is Galileo’ s telescope. Even though it was made back in the 6th century we still use the same system for reflectors. A reflecting telescope basically works by letting light come through the lenses inside and make in a distance look magnified.
If I were to mention newer technologies, I would like to talk about NASA’ s new project which is starting in 2025. This new technology is going to be used to observe exoplanets by blocking light from the parent star. With this project NASA plans to find new Earth-like exoplanets so maybe it’ s an opportunity for us, humans, to find new life beyond our planet. There are many technologies and innovations that are as helpful and unique as the ones I’ ve stated above each of which is a step forward for new research and discoveries.
With the advent of computers, astrophysicists began using them to analyze data and orbital calculations, reducing the risk of mistakes. As computers became more advanced, research increased in rate, leading to a fast increase in discoveries over the past 75 years. Throughout that time humanity reached the moon and even more progress has been made till this day and age.
