Slightly flatten the tips of the front
legs and turn it upwards, then
make 2 slits to form front paws.
Cover the head with white
fondant and attache to the body
in between the 2 front legs.
Roll out a thin sheet of white
fondant and stick this to the
bottom of Burt’s body. This will
help all the bits to stay together.

Blend the seams by gently
rubbing them together. Use some
shortening like Crisco or Solite,
or use some water to help the
seams blend together. For hard
to reach and narrow spots, use a
Dresden flower and leaf tool.
Make 2 indentations on the
front of the head for the eyes.
Make the head by forming 2
separate pieces of LCMs. A
bigger slightly flattened ball
for the head and a smaller
cylindrical shape for the muzzle.
Flip Burt over… eek! He looks
like a monstrous alligator!
Roughly make a patch from
black fondant. Just keep
pressing with your fingers to
get a random shape.
