Paint some water on the top of the
ball.
Trim the bottom off the toothpick
with scissors leaving around 1cm
to push into the body. Gently press
on the head until the body and head
connect being careful to not push the
toothpick out the top of the head.
Roll out a long strip of red fondant
and trim either side with your knife
to make it straight and even. Use
your knife to make little cuts on each
end of the scarf.
Gently wrap the scarf around the
deer’s neck overlapping.
Secure to the top of a fondant
covered cupcake with some royal
icing.
