But there is nothing uncertain about the world inhabited by Char- bonneau’s Solo Sisters! The group continues to grow and remain com- mitted to being a place where single women can gather, have fun and make new friends. Last month, 27 of us gathered at Lang- don Farms for a fun-filled happy hour, our first at this restaurant. Later in the month we enjoyed another rollicking Games Night in the card room at Char- bonneau Country Club. Following a buf- fet of delicious appetizers and desserts, we settled down to play Chicken Foot, Black Jack and Left, Center, Right. The Men’s Card group in the lounge next door got an earful as they couldn’t help but hear the “joyful noise” coming from our group. We bribed them with food and they were kind enough not to complain. The Plan- ning Committee thanks Paula Johnson for helping to organize this event. Our next happy hour was held after the deadline for this article. It was at one of our favorite places, The Wild Hare in Canby. The food is great, the ambience is rustic casual and the ride there on Canby’s back roads is always beautiful. Later this month (depending on restric- tions due to the COVID-19 outbreak), our own Lissa Willis will be taking a dozen of us in to Portland, on her month- ly Lunch Safari. This time we will be go- ing to the Cadillac Café. I checked out the menu online and found many deli- cious items I could order. Solo Sisters is open to all single women in Charbonneau.
