Art for Life
Drawing: Knowledge and Skills
Kim Boehler has been planning the “Art
for Life” program since retiring from teaching
and feels excited about creating a small
community based on the theme. The first
session will be 6 weeks in length and limited
to 8 adults. The focus will be on drawing, using
various tools, techniques and practices to
ensure that each individual feels successful.
Every session will be especially appropriate
for, but not limited to, anyone lacking
confidence with drawing or other related skill.
She is also looking forward to having an
opportunity for questions and discussions
about art related concepts and mysteries.
Sessions will begin Thursday, Feb. 21, at
6-7:30 p.m. in the basement art room of
Charbonneau Country Club.
Kimberly Boehler has a doctorate in
education with an emphasis in art education.
As an art teacher, she taught all ages
including 10 years at Ashland Middle School
and 15-plus years combined at Montana State
University and Southern Oregon University.
Kim lives in Charbonneau.
Call Kim Boehler at 406-579-7151 to sign up.
Cost for 6 weeks is $65 ($60 + $5 materials)
Fourth Friday at Five Social Event
Another “Fourth Friday at Five” social
event is happening on Friday, Feb. 22, at 5 p.m.
At the event, residents will enjoy a light
supper from one of our approved caterers.
Be sure to bring your own beverage and
enjoy the company of your fellow
Charbonneau neighbors. If you know someone
who has recently moved to Charbonneau, be
sure to let them know about this event and
how they can buy tickets, which are $5. It
would be nice to invite newcomers to sit with
you, make them feel welcome and introduce
them to others.
To attend, you will need to purchase a
ticket, which go on sale at 9 a.m. Feb. 1. If you
put it off, you risk the chance of the event
selling out. Only 150 reservations are available
tickets have been known to sell out in one day.
As an added plus, CCC board members
will be on hand to discuss the latest
Charbonneau news and answer any questions
you may have.
Tickets for the March “Fourth Friday at
Five” event will go on sale on March 1.
Charbonneau’s Easter Egg Hunt
Happens April 20
Save the Date!
Charbonneau residents are invited to
register their children or grandchildren (ages
1-6), to participate in the FREE Charbonneau
Easter Egg Hunt to be held on Saturday, April
20, outside, behind the Country Club.
Be sure the children dress for the weather
and arrive in time to greet the Easter Bunny
who will arrive at 9:30 a.m. for some photo
opportunities. Tutu the Clown will greet the
children and conduct some pre-hunt activities.

lead the children in an Easter Parade and, then,
start the hunt promptly at 10 a.m.

to use. After the hunt, the children will bring
back the basket and we give them a “goodie
bag” in return, along with their found eggs.
The deadline for registration is Friday,
April 13, so the Easter Bunny will know how
many eggs to hide. You can register by email
at [email protected] or
sign-up in the CCC office (we need the name
and age of each child).
