Fun in the Park offers entertainment for the entire family.
Don’t miss Fun in the Park
Fun in the Park — a free festival
from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 3 at Town
Center Park in Wilsonville — attracts
9,000-10,000 people each year. Now in its
19th year, Fun in the Park is featuring
more than 100 local companies that pro-
vide entertainment and interactive ac-
tivities for all. There will be more than
10 different giant inflatables for chil-
dren, flight simulators from Aurora
Civil Air Patrol and the Wilsonville ro-
botics team will set up their robots for
demos.
The main stage will feature local and
non-local acts, including Wilsonville’s
Innovative Dance. Multiple food carts
and snack shacks will be available
throughout the day and the water
feature will be up and running in the

park.
Art Instructor Kim Boehler is plan-
ning to teach another art class this fall
on Thursday evenings, 6-7:30 p.m. This
class will include processes related to
card making (including printmaking,
Japanese marbling and an introduction
to calligraphy). Stop by the CCC activi-
ties booth at the Community Informa-
tion Day event (Aug. 20) for more infor-
mation or to register for the class.
Niners variety show
Charbonneau’s 9-hole women’s golf
club will be performing their annual va-
riety show for the Charbonneau com-
munity Saturday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m. in
the clubhouse dining room. This year’s
theme is “Disney,” and the show will be
filled with familiar songs, old and new,
with choreographed dances and skits.
The costumes the women put together
are always a delight and some can be
quite elaborate. The story line is fun
with a golf twist thrown in. These pro-
ductions are popular with Charbonneau
residents because all of the performers
are neighbors and friends.
Tickets are just $5 and will go on sale
at the Community Information Day
event in August.
