Charbonneau is planning a two- hour scenic Jetboat tour featuring Portland history, wildlife and the Wil- lamette Falls. This day trip will hap- pen Friday, Aug. 9. Tickets are $65 and include round trip transportation from Charbonneau. We will depart Charbonneau at 11 a.m. and the tour will begin at 11:45 a.m. Tickets are on sale in the CCC office. In addition, you will need to sign a waiver. Be pre- pared to get a little wet and to have a lot of fun! Charbonneau Community Information Day & Newcomers Welcome Charbonneau is a beautiful commu- nity and provides many opportunities for enhancing daily life. If you would like to learn more about your commu- nity, come to the Country Club Tues- day, Aug. 20, for Community Informa- tion Day. This event provides our resi- dents with information from a host of community service providers, volun- teering organizations, and social group activities, all under one roof. If you enjoy an active lifestyle, learn about the Golf Club, Tennis Club, Fitness Center, or exercise class- es available (i.e., Zumba, Aerobics). If you like to play cards and games, visit with those who play Bridge or Mah Jongg. If you have a creative flair, vis- it the various art booths. A special invitation is extended to residents who are new to Charbon- neau to attend a brief, informative ori- entation (bring your questions). We look forward to welcoming you to our community. Many of the organizations will be providing prizes for the free raffle. We will also be selling a glass of wine for just $1. Invite your Charbonneau neighbors to attend this enjoyable and informa- tive social event and be sure to stop by the CCC special events table to sign-up for upcoming activities (they may sell out in one day). This year’s theme is called, “Denim and Diamonds.” Come and see all that Charbonneau has to offer. You may even learn something new! We will be attending this perfor- mance Thursday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m., then, continue on to Willamette Val- ley Country Club for happy hour. Your $70 ticket will include deluxe motor coach round trip transportation and happy hour munchies. Drinks are not hosted so please be sure to bring your wallet. Cupcake decorating for fall Come and celebrate the fall season by learning to decorate cupcakes as beautiful fall flowers in this cupcake decorating class! Kelly from Sprinkles of Joy Bakery will teach you how to use a frosting piping bag to pipe star flowers, rosettes and beautiful petal flowers.
