Charbonneau Community
Information Day & Newcomers
Welcome
Charbonneau is a beautiful commu-
nity and provides many opportunities
for enhancing daily life. If you would
like to learn more about your commu-
nity, come to the Country Club Tues-
day, Aug. 20, for Community Informa-
tion Day. This event provides our resi-
dents with information from a host of
community service providers, volun-
teering organizations, and social
group activities, all under one roof.
If you enjoy an active lifestyle,
learn about the Golf Club, Tennis
Club, Fitness Center, or exercise class-
es available (i.e., Zumba, Aerobics). If
you like to play cards and games, visit
with those who play Bridge or Mah
Jongg. If you have a creative flair, vis-
it the various art booths.
A special invitation is extended to
residents who are new to Charbon-
neau to attend a brief, informative ori-
entation (bring your questions). We
look forward to welcoming you to our
community.
Many of the organizations will be
providing prizes for the free raffle. We
will also be selling a glass of wine for
just $1.
Invite your Charbonneau neighbors
to attend this enjoyable and informa-
tive social event and be sure to stop
by the CCC special events table to
sign-up for upcoming activities (they
may sell out in one day).
This year’s theme is called, “Denim
and Diamonds.” Come and see all that
Charbonneau has to offer. You may
even learn something new!

Footloose at Broadway Rose
Theater on Aug. 29
Celebrate the spirit and optimism of
young people fighting for change
backed by a soundtrack of ‘80s pop an-
thems in this stage adaptation of the
hit film. When city boy Ren moves to
a small town where dancing is out-
lawed, he finds himself an outsider
and a target of the local preacher who
pushed for the ban, especially after at-
tracting the attention of the rever-
end’s rebellious daughter. Through
explosive choreography and invigo-
rating songs such as “Holding Out for
a Hero,” “Let’s Hear it for the Boy,”
and the exhilarating title tract, Ren
challenges the community to reverse
the rule and heal from the tragedy
that kept their hearts from dancing.
We will be attending this perfor-
mance Thursday, Aug. 29, at 2 p.m.,
then, continue on to Willamette Val-
ley Country Club for happy hour.
Your $70 ticket will include deluxe
motor coach round trip transportation
and happy hour munchies. Drinks are
not hosted so please be sure to bring
your wallet.
