Accountancy firm brings pioneering software into the marketplace

Chippenham-based chartered accountants Pillow May have launched a new piece of software it says will revolutionise the way accountancy practices work .
The software is the brainchild of managing director , Jessica Pillow who came up with the idea after becoming increasingly frustrated with the cloudbased solutions on offer . She found them repetitive , time-consuming and in places risky and thought there must be a better way of getting the job done .
The end goal for Jessica was to create a system that was more efficient , freeing up her staff to concentrate on more meaningful work .
Like many accountants , Jessica has a number of remote-working team members , so she needed a system that provided the same service for a client regardless of their location .
After discussing the problem with one of her clients , the App Collective they agreed to help build an integrated solution based on the industry-leading software Salesforce .
Salesforce is the world ’ s biggest CRM package used by many multinational companies and does more than just keep contact details .
The App Collective took Jessica ’ s design brief and turned it into a useable and time saving software package that Jessica implemented into her practice .
Jessica and the Pillow May team have been developing the software called mTrio for the past 18 months refining and improving the product with their own and other accountant ’ s feedback . mTrio is now ready to launch into the marketplace for other practices to be able to buy and install too .
A new business Mint Trio Ltd has been set up and Jessica has gone into partnership with Simon Goodyear and Ross Layton from the App Collective combining their skills to make mTrio a success .
“ it was a relief to discover mTrio which will replace three existing systems ”
Simon is a certified Salesforce instructor who holds all of the admin and developer certifications having worked on the platform for six years . Ross has also worked with Salesforce for over ten years , primarily in the financial services sector . Ashley Leeds , who has eight years ’ experience working with accountants and their software has joined the team as business development manager .
One of mTrio ’ s first clients Della Hudson , of Hudson Business Accountants said : “ After a year of searching , and not quite finding what I wanted , it was a relief to discover mTrio which will replace three existing systems and should allow me to step further away from the day to day running of the business .”
