CLIL. ACTIVITIES FOR SHARING
Students work in pairs and design their Powerpoint by using the information that they have
found.
They should share their information.
4 Stage: Planning (15 min)
Students make a planning about how to make their project: plastic objects, how to organize
information, type of letter, colours, etc.
5 Stage: Build the object (Powerpoint) (50 min)
Students make their Powerpoint presentation by following the previous design and
planning.
6 Stage: Presentation (75 min)
Students prepare all the pronunciation and how to present their Powerpoint presentation to
their classmates.
For this presentation teacher give some scaffolding sentences such us:
Hello, my name is….
We are going to……
This is a ……
Its properties are……
It is made with ………..technique
It is use to/for V/Ving
4 Assessment and self-assessment:
In the final assessment, content and language are important, so teacher should assess
everything and moreover each group should fill a self-assessment about how they have
worked by pointing from 1 to 5 points (from nothing to excellent).
Strengths Students develop their reading comprehension through reading information about plastic
materials.
Students develop their writing. They should sum up information.
Furthermore, they also improve their speaking by working in pairs and preparing their
speaking presentation.
They practice listening, because they should follow their mate´s presentations.
Weaknesses
It really difficult to control if students are interacting in English or in their mother tongue.
Some students may need more time to assimilate the text and write.
