Background Since 2017, The FLY Initiative has been driven by a simple belief: every student deserves access to high-quality financial literacy education, regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic background.
Our culturally responsive curriculum, certified personal finance educators, and hands-on experiential learning come together to create a learning experience unlike any other in the state.
Through this work, the FLY program empowers students to build lifelong financial well-being— and discover pathways to break the cycle of generational poverty.

BRAG LINES The FLY Initiative is the first and only all-inclusive personal finance program in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and New York.
We deliver a comprehensive financial literacy program through a ten-module, semester-long curriculum designed specifically for under-resourced communities.
With partnerships across more than 150 community and academic organizations, FLY is poised to reach over 8,500 people in 2026.
