Background For nearly a century, United Way of Rhode Island has helped families move from crisis to stability while strengthening the systems that support them. Through community partnerships, advocacy, grantmaking and volunteer engagement, we work to build a Strong Rhode Island where everyone has the opportunity to live, learn and thrive. We make it easy for individuals and companies to give back through workplace campaigns, 401Gives and volunteer opportunities across the state. |
BRAG LINES Over the last five years, your support helped build Stronger Rhode Island. Together, we invested $ 22.7 million through trust-based philanthropy. Families and nonprofits saved $ 42.2 million through efforts like VITA and the Alliance for Nonprofit Impact. Our advocacy work helped secure over $ 330 million in state and federal resources. We engaged over 476,000 Rhode Islanders through direct services, partner programs and volunteer efforts, and 1,154 nonprofits partnered with us. |
