Mission Statement
AIDS Care Ocean State is dedicated to providing quality housing, case management, medical and nursing care, and prevention to adults, families, adolescents and children who are affected by or at risk for HIV infection.
Mission Statement
Background Family AIDS Center for Treatment, later becoming AIDS Care Ocean State, was founded in 1987 to address mother-to-child transmission of HIV and to establish housing, preventative care and counseling to families affected by HIV / AIDS.
brag lines ACOS has been voted Best Local Nonprofit Organization three years in a row, and our services are always free for our clients. In 2021, ACOS became only the third location in the USA to provide a new prevention concept with our Harm Reduction Vending Machines.
Pay it Forward ACOS relies heavily on donations and sponsorships to help expand much needed services and vital programs throughout RI. Donations are always 100 percent tax deductible.
Children’ s Wishes is a Rhode Island-based organization committed to providing life-enhancing experiences to children facing significant medical challenges. Our Wish Granting approach involves the entire family to build lasting relationships along the way.
Background Founded in 2009 after the merger of a Massachusetts organization, Children’ s Wishes has an amazing Wish Granting program and also provides ongoing support to families long after the Wish.
brag lines In 2017, we expanded our Family Programming to include offerings for the entire family. From gatherings to a special surprise when someone isn’ t feeling well, we’ re there to support families in whatever way we can!
