The Alzheimer’ s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’ s and all other dementia— by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

As the world’ s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’ s care, support and research, we are committed to serving the 27,000 people living with Alzheimer’ s in Rhode Island. We also offer care and support services for more than 36,000 family and friends across the state who are caring for someone with Alzheimer’ s or another dementia.

In 2025, Rhode Islanders raised over $ 665,000 to support research and care and support programs by supporting our five Walk to End Alzheimer’ s events across the state.
There was over $ 1.6 million in active research funding awarded to RI researchers through our International Research Grants Program.
Our 24 / 7 Helpline fielded over 1,000 calls from Rhode Islanders, providing callers with guidance, support and access to local resources.
Foster Forward empowers Rhode Island youth and families impacted by foster care to build stable, independent futures through essential supports in housing, workforce development, financial literacy, mentorship and resources provided through our Community Storefront and youth-centered programs.
Background Foster Forward delivers interconnected, evidence-based programs supporting youth and families impacted by foster care. Specializing in transition-age youth, we center lived experience to design supports that promote stability, independence and meaningful long-term outcomes.
