Mission Statement
MAE Organization supports individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of losing stable housing by providing meals, toiletries, clothing and essential care. Our team delivers solutions that bring dignity, stability and hope to those needing it most.

Background Founded in 2008 by Martinha Javid, MAE Organization for the Homeless provides solutions for individuals in need. We provide hot meals, bagged lunches, clothing and hygiene essentials, assist with stable housing and support job placement.

We envision a state where no one goes hungry. That’ s why every day, we live our mission to improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders by advancing solutions to the problem of hunger.
Background Since 1982, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has provided millions of pounds of food to our neighbors in need through our statewide network of 137 food pantries, meal sites and other distribution programs.
brag lineS The Food Bank prides itself on providing nutritious, culturally relevant food to our member agencies. In addition to food distribution, we provide community outreach services, nutrition education and serve after-school meals at three sites.
Pay it Forward By donating to the Food Bank, you help ensure that our neighbors have consistent access to healthy food. We stretch a dollar further by purchasing by the truckload, enabling us to distribute more to our agencies.
Wish List
Our greatest needs include sustaining monthly donors, corporate sponsors and volunteers for the MAE Center and our weekly meal service. We also welcome one-time monetary gifts, pantry and food donations, and contributions through our Amazon Wish List. Community partnerships are essential to our work— thank you for supporting MAE and helping us serve Rhode Islanders with dignity and compassion.
