It appears that in a normal healthy (not already compromised) individual, the percentage of carbohydrates doesn't matter much when they come from unprocessed natural sources. Having endless fruits, vegetables, tubers/sweet potatoes and even a little rice allow for a healthy and lean body, while also keeping calories in check.
