want to maintain a comfortable, religious free atmosphere.
I’m here to tell you that discomfort is the new way of growth in a Christian life style,
demolishing the promotion of secular prosperity.
For such businesses, they recognize this simple fact - if you are a Christ follower, you
just can’t help but want to shout about it. God calls His children to be fearless in their words that bring glory to Him, no matter the discomfort in the environment to which they’ve been called. As an employee for a Christian business, one is called to live a transparent, and sometimes vulnerable existence. When asked the question “How are you?” a Christian will truly state how they are instead of plastering a devious smile on their face and muttering “fine”. This makes way for fellow employees to wholeheartedly believe that one who serves God is only capable of living an unblemished life. This is false. Jesus cannot save the flawless but instead searches for the broken, just as He calls His children to do. By living a transparent life style, this stereotype is eliminated.
Ultimately, the goal in a Christian business is recognized by those who know that their
prosperity within their field is simply to give glory to God, not to man. The same God who created the blue sky outside of their office window delicately created the talent that they are given. One simply cannot stay quiet when they know that they have eternal life with their maker who designed them to work hard on this earth to bring more people to His word.
Matthew 5:14 states “You are the light of the world. A Town built on a hill cannot be
hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
No matter where one clocks in in the mornings, as Christians they are called to be the light in their job environment. To bring others to Christ, they must allow their business to express thoughts, actions and words as a reflection of their faith.
It is time to rise as companies and employees who are unashamed of serving others through the gospel and to recognize the importance of Christ in a working environment. I challenge you to seek to be the difference maker within your office. I pray that God gives you challenges that will use you to be evident in your actions and daring in your words that bring glory to him who gave you your talent you use in your workplace.

in their words that bring glory to Him..."
