Fall Parent-Junior Golf Classic: In 2012, the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour brought back the fall version of the Parent-Junior Golf Classic after a four year hiatus. The tournament was conducted at Heritage Ranch Golf & Country Club on Sunday, September 23. 2012 Projection: 2012 Year End: 90 players 74 players The projected income for the 2012 Fall Parent-Junior Golf Classic was $8,100.00. The actual income for the 2012 Fall Parent-Junior Golf Classic was $6,660.00, which is 17.8% less than 2012 projections. Junior Tour Participation Summary: Below is a comparison of projections and actual events conducted for 2012 as well as a comparison to the 2011 season. NTPGA Junior Tour – Total participation increased 11.2% in 2012. 2012 Projection: 14,938 players / 273 events / 54.72 player average 2012 Year End: 15,532 players / 268 events / 57.96 player average 2011 Year End: 13,971 players / 237 events / 58.95 player average Junior Tour Income Summary: Membership revenue was significantly higher in 2012 due to the fact that the membership fee increased from $60.00 to $70.00. Greater participation in the Spring Break Series, Summer Series and both All American Tours, as well as the expansion of the Team Golf schedule, has enabled the Junior Tour to enhance its financial position from years past and maintain a favorable financial position in 2012. Membership – Membership income increased 26.8% in 2012 and is 3.1% greater than projections. 2012 Projection: $210,000.00 2012 Year End: $216,440.00 2011 Year End: $170,760.00 Tournament Entry Fees – Tournament entry fee income increased 10.5% in 2012 and is 7.1% greater than projected. 2012 Projection: $569,580.00 2012 Year End: $610,120.00 2011 Year End: $552,385.00 Junior Tour Sponsorship Summary: In 2012, the NTPGA Junior Tour maintained, enhanced and created new sponsor relationships which provided tremendous support and value to our programs. 2012 Projection: 2012 Year End: 2011 Year End: $130,750.00 $115,000.00 $107,000.00 The projected sponsorship revenue in 2012 was $130,750.00. Actual sponsorship revenue was $115,000.00, which is a 7.5% increase from 2011 ($107,000.00), but 12.0% less than projections. Internship Program: The Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation hired nineteen (19) interns and six (6) area coordinators to assist with the conduct of the Ewing Automotive Junior Tour and Summer Camp Program this year.
