fun
T
eessiders will be hoping to
enjoy some fun in the sun
when Acklam Hall hosts its
second annual Summer Festival on
Sunday, September 3.
The event will take place within
the grounds of Acklam Hall on
Hall Drive on the same day as
Middlesbrough’s Tees Pride 10k
run starts and finishes outside the
town’s only Grade I listed building.
The Summer Festival – which
is free to enter - will feature live
music, comedy from Tees funny
man Patrick Monahan, inflatables
from children and adults plus food
and drink.
Acklam Hall managing director
Michael Jones said: “This is a
fantastic community event for all
the family. Last year, despite the
18
rain, we attracted a fantastic crowd.
“This time we’re hoping the sun
comes out and even more people
gather for a family occasion with a
warm atmosphere.
“It’s perfect for those taking
part in the Tees Pride 10k or
anyone who is supporting one of
the runners, but the whole event
is open to the entire Teesside
community.
Live music will be provided by
TFM, with their Cash for Kids
charity benefiting from fundraising
on the day, along with Acklam
Hall’s charity of the year, Teesside
Hospice.
The event takes place on Sunday,
September 3, from 10am-6pm.
Acklam Hall itself will be serving
food throughout the day too.
