Interior design firm wins deal to transform stadium suite
Saltburn-based Styled Interior Design has detailed how it brought new life into one of Boro ’ s Riverside Stadium suites . The goal was to create an appealing space for all to enjoy and which could be used for private events such as wedding receptions and baby showers , as well as the usual matchday hospitality .
In its original state , the room was quite dark , having not been updated for several years . It was also very heavily branded , with little design consideration . While the branding was fine for matchdays , it wasn ’ t as suitable for other events – and that ’ s where the team at Styled came in , opting for a much lighter colour palette with a modern , airy feel .

Bethany Walker , said : “ Our goal was to create a space adaptable to a range of different events that will help bring in new streams of revenue for the football club . The whole space needed a complete redesign to take it from being an overcrowded , dated and run-down function room to a modern , multifunctional events space with a warm and vibrant atmosphere .”
The Styled team started by taking an overview of the existing space to understand what needed to change to make it fit its new purpose . Bethany said : “ The previous spatial layout of the suite was overcrowded , so we started by looking at how we could keep the maximum capacity while still retaining a great customer experience . We met with all the employees involved in events day planning to ask them what limitations the current layout had .”
The works , which were completed by WOODSmith Construction Group , consisted of replacing a dark , tired carpet with a hardwearing , on-trend herringbone effect LVT ( luxury vinyl tile ) throughout the main suite and accompanying boxes .
The colour palette was switched from dark red and stark whites to lighter shades consisting of warm greige , seafoam blue and leafy green .
However , as the space is still heavily and primarily used for matchdays , the team introduced a more subtle nod to the club ’ s branding by adding accents of a soft red terracotta shade throughout the backrests in the chairs , wall murals and custom
