Depletion of sources
Causes
This is caused by the overuse and over exploitation that human have been doing for years and years.
Processes such as overgrazing and deforestation never seemed like a big deal when we chopped down 50 trees at a time, but when we look at the replenishment rates, we notice that trees are not growing out as fast as they are being chopped down.
Higher prices
Since resources have became less available, their prices went up, and the difference is not just small, but if we compare 2008 and with 2010, we notice that prices have increased by atleast 2 dollars. The same thing goes for the prices of oil and coal, it is expected that by 2020, our oil reservoirs will start to run out, and countries have taken advantage of this opportunity by raising the prices to hundreds of thousands and maybe millions. Countries such as Saudi Arabia may be benefiting from this Economically right now, but will be regretting it later.

High CO2 rates
By chopping down trees, we have lessened the amount of CO2 absorbers and O2 sources, thus increasing the amount of Cabon in the air, contributing to Global Warming.
Trees respire, taking in carbon and letting out oxygen, when we chop down trees, there are less absorbers and so the amount of carbon absorbed from the atmosphere is not enough to keep a balnace in nature.
Effects
In the past few years, populations have been increasing exponentially, and with a larger population, there is a larger demand on natural reasources such as water, oxygen, plants, food, etc.
This has been the cause of huge problems, we watch the new now and see countries going through famine, starvation, water shortages, diseases, and many more issues, and the sad thing is we have not been able to do much about it.
Depletion of natural sources could be a huge catastrophe if we do not act fast enough and try to save what we have left or find new resources to use SUSTAINABELY!
