How the world reacted
Canada
The world did not approve of this sport, as a matter of fact, many people went out on strikes as well as protests to stop this inhumane act.
The world refuses to give its seal of approval to Canada's barbaric ritual, which has claimed the lives of one million pups in the past four years. The United States has been prohibiting seal products since 1972.

Norway
Norway took the decision to open up this "ritual" to tourist because they thought that they were not killing enough seals to even out the population of seal and fish, and so, excited about this decision, offers started opening up in travel agencies and in tour websites, and tourists from everywhere started coming to Norway for this particular event.
Seeing the amount of negative feedback, the Norweigan government decided to step down from this decision, but sadly, seal slaughter is still occuring regularly.
When will this stop?
