“ I’ m guessing that symbol you found summoned it,” Felix said, right after he and Violet grabbed almost every possible thing in the room, and used it to block the door. They even closed the vents, using tissues and other things to block it. Everything was used to block any and every entrance into the room.“ Violet, do you still have your phone?” Felix asked, panting from running around everywhere.“ Yeah, why?”“ Search up how to kill a demon, then! We literally have no other choice now.” Violet faltered for a bit, then took out her phone. She was almost on the verge of crying from everything. After a few searches, she found that the most effective way to kill a demon summoned via pentagram was waiting until morning, where the first rays of sunlight would hit the demon, and kill it.“ And what time is it now?” Felix said.“ Six a. m. The sun should be coming up in an hour,” Violet answered.“ In the meantime, let’ s come up with a plan to get that demon to go out into the sun.” That’ s just what they did. Violet and Felix came up with a plan, where they would use Felix as bait by the windows, and Violet would open up the curtains to reveal the sunlight to the demon. So many things could go wrong, but they didn’ t have a lot of options, either. With only a couple minutes before dawn, they had to act fast.
The two carefully made their way to the living room, where the windows would be able to reveal the first rays of morning light. Violet hid behind one of the curtains, while Felix( who had an umbrella behind his back just in case things went wrong), waited by the large window, literally sweating bullets. He was shaking heavily, and his breaths were quick and shaky. Then, they heard it. It was a little tap, coming from the ceiling. Felix shot his head up, only to be greeted by a growling demon, whose claws and wings were outstretched while it pounced on him from above.“ VIOLET! NOW!” Felix screamed, while repeatedly hitting the black demon with an umbrella. Violet jumped out from the curtains, and immediately opened them. She expected to see rays of sunlight bursting out, saving them all. The sight that had met her eyes was almost as scary as the demon itself. There was no sunlight, no rays jumping out to kill the demon. Instead, there were several light gray clouds blocking the sun, not letting any sunshine though. Their last hope, their lives had depended on this, and it didn’ t show up.“ Are you kidding me?!” Felix screamed at the top of his lungs, right before being slammed down by the demon’ s tail, then grabbed and eaten whole.
Silence filled the entire house, only being interrupted by the occasional morning song of the birds. It was only Violet, staring back at the demon who took her friends. That was when she finally realized it, realized everything that had happened, and finally broke down. Her tears splattered the ground, her sobs filled the air, and the only thing she could do was shove her face into her hands and try to think this was all some dream, some nightmare she could wake up from.
Yet, all the demon did was stand there, and stare back at her.
