When I finally thought of using the Made in Chelsea star, Toff, I was so relieved and although I did find the first couple of weeks stressful as it took me a while to decide on an idea, it also motivated me to get focused on my work to make up for lost time. If I was to do this project over again I would probably choose a more known celebrity/fashion influencer as I believe that this is a weakness in my collaboration.
I found that my trend research went really well as I found this really interesting. I found a suitable trend for my range and researched this trend in detail in order to produce a good range which fitted into the trend. I was really pleased with the results of my 20-piece range and I think this is due to my extensive research. I also found the end result of my business plan was really good. When completing my business plan, I used resources available to me such as online research and my lecturer’s advice. I feel this resulted in my business plan being detailed and of a good standard which I am pleased with.
One thing which did not go well for me during this project was finding flat lays in the styles I wanted for my 20-piece range. To overcome this, I decided to had to stop focusing on the ideas I had in my head and focus on the flat lays available to me on WGSN flat lays tool. Another problem I faced was being unable to access WGSN outside of college, I used WGSN as a research source for a lot of my work and this prevented me from completing some things at home. To overcome this problem, I planned my time effectively and focused on the work which needed this source during college hours and completed over things at home.
