Boema FPT progetta e realizza impianti destinati all’ industria alimentare Boema FPT designs and manufactures processing systems for the food industry

Ongoing innovation in food processing
From bespoke designs for the food industry to investments in in-house production technologies, Boema FPT has built its competitiveness on flexibility, quality and control of the entire production process. A journey shared with Mazak for over thirty years.
There are companies that build machines and companies that build expertise. Boema belongs to the latter group. For over forty years, the company from Neive( near Cuneo)— recently rebranded Boema FPT( Food Processing Technology)— has been designing and manufacturing systems for the food industry, transforming production needs into customised solutions. This is a sector where every order is different and where competitiveness depends not only on the quality of the machine, but also on the ability to understand each production process and translate it into a reliable, efficient system tailored to the customer ' s specific needs. Over the years, this philosophy has guided the technological choices of the company, leading it to establish a long-term relationship with Mazak. A shared journey that has accompanied Boema since the late 1980s and which today includes fibre laser systems for cutting sheet metal and tubes, as well as machining centres for stock removal jobs.
FLEXIBILITY AS THE KEY WORD
" Today, the food industry is going through a deep change " says Marco Bosio, CEO of Boema. " As suppliers, we have had to follow its evolution, in terms of both technical specifications and food safety regulations. Although we may be considered a large industry, we are actually great craftsmen: we build bespoke systems, adapting them to the layout of the customer ' s premises and to the features of the end product. In food processing, ingredients can be processed in completely different ways depending on the country or the end result." The Piedmontese company has chosen to specialise in the first link of the food supply chain, i. e. in process technology, so much so that it has changed its name to Boema FPT( Food Processing Technology) to further emphasise its identity. " Of course, we start with tubes, sheet metal and stainless steel, but what we really sell is the process— that is, the ability to produce a specific food product. While individual machines can be standardised, the process is always designed to the customer ' s needs. For us, a large batch means producing five or ten units. Indeed, most of our production consists of one-of-a-kind units. This explains why flexibility is part of our DNA," Bosio says.
PARTNERS IN INNOVATION
The need to customise each order has driven Boema to gradually insource strategic operations, expanding its expertise and production capacity. " It ' s essential to be able to rely on partners who can accompany us on this journey. We have always favoured long-term relations based on mutual trust and continuity. Our partnership with Mazak is a perfect example of this. It began in the late 1980s, when Boema was still a small workshop primarily engaged in contract manufacturing," continues Bosio. Boema management soon realised that laser
