Green to Gold Day
We’re aiming for SHIFT (Sustainable Homes Index
for Tomorrow) Gold in 2015/16… but we need
your help to achieve it! Our Green to Gold Day
on Monday 7 September will offer fantastic (and
simple) tips on how you can help to reduce our
environmental impacts, address fuel poverty and
lower our costs. There’ll be informative workshops,
including getting the most from video conferencing,
and we’ll have some fun prizes to give away!
To find out more about all the workshops visit ‘Green
to Gold Day’ on OurSpace or contact Jade Wilson.
*If you wish to take part in the cycle workshops, you
will need to bring your own bicycle.
Unconscious bias
Money Matters
We’re working hard to promote
diversity in the workplace.
We want all staff to feel
comfortable when they come
to work. Following on from
our equality and diversity
training we encourage you
to try the Implicit Association
or ‘Unconscious Bias’ tests.
Our brains are hardwired to
quickly categorise people.
Unconscious bias means
we’re not even aware we
make these judgments, it’s
our instinct. But by taking the
tests you can increase your
awareness and can reflect on
your attitudes before they’re
expressed through behaviour
and language.
Team hit £1m mark!
Our fantastic Money Matters
Team hit the £1 million pound
barrier at end of June for
sourcing the right benefits/
income for our residents.
This money was sourced since
the beginning of the financial
year in April 2015.
They’re also up to their 30th
Universal Credit case as of
mid-August. Amazing work!

unconscious bias testing here.

Changes to the way
Housing Officers
work in London
London and Surrey Housing
Management Teams will
introduce patchless working
from Tuesday 1 September.
It means Housing Officers
will share the responsibility of
the region, rather than have
a designated patch. From 1
September all work needs
to be directed to the teams
through CRM into the London
Housing Officer queue. If
you’re unsure how to do this,
or have something you need
advice on, please contact
one of the Neighbourhood
Managers, who’ll be able to
help you: Sara Weller (8932),
Andrew Burkitt (8938) or
Jermaine Sterling (8955).
