Giving something back
Cake sale
for hospice
Sussex staff baked and brought
cakes to work to raise money for
St Michael’s Hospice.
This follows the fire at the St Leonards
hospice in July where sadly two
people lost their lives.
From a “jungle”
to a garden!
From this…
Staff from Chiltern Drive and
Estate Services transformed
a garden for a vulnerable
resident who was unable to do
it themselves.
...to this
The hospice was delighted to receive
£200.95 from our staff.
The team included:
Jacki White, Annette
Jones, Mel Sorrell,
Richard Spencer, Mike
Thompson, Nathan
Robertson, Martyn
Edwards and Roy
Foster.
They said: “This will be extremely
helpful to us as we recover from the
fire and we are most grateful for the
support lent throughout the various
departments at AmicusHorizon.”
They pulled and
pushed their way
“through a jungle”
(they even found
a trampoline!) and
created a massive
space.
Tasty treats
The resident was overwhelmed with the kindness shown to
her. Great job!
Street life!
Homes and Communities London staff
picked up their brooms to tidy the
streets of Thornton Heath, in Croydon,
on 21 August.
They were litter picking, weeding
gardens and window cleaning.
They had great weather, lots of fun and
made a real difference!
Fantastic work!
The clean up crew!
