6. Inductive vs. Deductive
method
The
main
difference
between the deductive
method and inductive is
that deductive focuses
more
on
giving
for
example a hypothesis and
lets students to think about
a possible answer.
Inductive method is the
method in which the
theory is the main base of
it, and the teacher is the
one
who
gives
the
definition
about
something, on the contrary
of deductive that students
do
a
research
by
themselves.
Reflection:
Deductive method seems
to me as a better method
than inductive, because
with the deductive method,
students criticism becomes
more awake and also they
can express their thoughts
about the topic, what they
believe is wrong or correct.
In the case of inductive
method, students can get
bored with the theory
explanation, we have to
remember that students
need visual references to
get interested in a topic.
Both methods have their
specific moments to be
used but when it comes to
giving a class, deductive
would be better.
