LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

The development of leadership skills at all levels of our organization is a top priority at Teach For Armenia . We use a variety of methods to both train and test the leadership skills of our Teacher-Leaders and students , including using our new Leadership Framework , developing and administering online modules , and hosting education summits .
LEADERSHIP FRAMEWORK
Using our new Leadership Framework , we administered diagnostic assessments of both students and Teacher-Leaders at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year in order to understand their baseline leadership skills . Moving forward , the Framework will replace two previous assessments used by our Learning , Design & Impact team : the Student Voice Rubric , and Student Leadership Self- Inventory . 4

Our Leadership Framework measures five key components of leadership : Building Relationships , Co-creating a Shared Vision , Co-creating Action Plans , Taking Collective Action , and Evaluating Collective Impact . In October 2022 , 2,372 students were assessed using the Framework , 528 of whom were in grades 3-6 , and 1,844 of whom were in grades 7-12 .

THEIR DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS WERE AS FOLLOWS :

GRADES 3-6

Overall score of 67 %, with the highest score of 73 % in the " Take Collective Action " component .

GRADES 7-12

Overall score of 54 %, with the highest score of 60 % also in the “ Take Collective Action ” component .
