One hundred seventy Teacher-Leaders were also assessed using the Framework in October 2022 , who achieved an overall score of 83 % across all components , with the highest score of 86 % in the “ Build Relationships ” component . Summative assessments of both students and Teacher- Leaders will be conducted at the end of the school year in May 2023 in order for us to measure changes in their leadership skills .
SELF-GUIDED MODULES
Teacher-Leaders live and work in different locations across Armenia and Artsakh , which means that frequent in-person meetings are not always possible . To support their professional development while participating in our program across the country , we use a series of self-guided modules that focus on two areas : Community Innovation and Pedagogy . After completing their modules , Teacher-Leaders are asked to complete assignments , for which they are graded and receive feedback . In 2022 , Teacher- Leaders met or exceeded expectations according to their scores : 89.9 % in Community Innovation and 80.8 % in Pedagogy .
EDUCATION SUMMIT
While Teacher-Leaders may be spread across the country , no amount of distance can keep us apart for too long , and in 2022 we had the pleasure of hosting two Education Summits for all our program participants .
The first summit , which took place in June 2022 at the American University of Armenia ( AUA ), brought together 130 Teacher-Leaders with a 90 % participation rate . It was the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic that we gathered for a face-to-face event of this size . Students from the communities of Bagaran , Amrakits , Dsegh , and Araks also participated in the summit , presenting their Student-Led Innovation Projects to Teacher-Leaders . A post-summit survey showed 90.7 % favorability for the event .
The second Education Summit took place in October 2022 and was organized in conjunction with Armenia ’ s Promise Forum . 5 Over 200 educators , including current Teacher-Leaders and Alumni-Ambassadors , attended the second summit , and a post-event survey found 92 % favorability among participants .
