From the very beginning of our work at Takhta , we recognized the importance of gaining trust in the community . That is why we implemented a special program to involve and invest students , parents , and stakeholders throughout the process . After four months of engagement , we administered a community engagement survey to assess satisfaction with our pilot program , through which 80 % of respondents indicated that Seroond has affected students positively .
This year ’ s pilot has shown us that there is great potential for school-wide transformation by working in partnership with the community and government stakeholders in order to seed talent while building the capacity of local educators . We have witnessed that veteran teachers are eager for professional development and career growth , especially when programming is tailored to their needs and context . Moreover , we have seen that our parents can be our greatest champions . Perhaps most importantly , our pilot has demonstrated the power of developing social and emotional skills while promoting problem-solving through project-based learning . By integrating these into Seroond , our students have increased their self-awareness and academic achievement .
