Given the seemingly insurmountable challenges that we faced in 2020 , one could ask : “ Why should we have hope ?” At Teach For Armenia , we believe that we must have hope — hope in our children . We hope that they will become the leaders that Armenia needs them to be . They will become leaders full of integrity who are able to innovate and overcome challenges . To do this , we must reimagine the purpose of education . Academics are essential , as is real-world problem-solving .

In 2020 , we launched the organization ' s Kochari , and new Theory of Leadership , putting student leadership at the very heart of our work . We reimagined our approach to teacher training and redesigned our program around Change-Based Learning . We now have a robust inventory of online teacher training modules that can support our program to grow in scale in an efficient fashion .

At times , crises can be a force for innovation . As we look ahead , Teach For Armenia is prepared to take our programming to the next level . Our aim is to recruit 100 new Teacher-Leaders next year alone . To do so , we will attract a record-breaking number of applications , putting Teach For Armenia on track to becoming one of the largest recruiters for talent in the country — which is particularly important for our post-war expansion efforts in Artsakh . Together with Artsakh ’ s MoESC , we will ensure that students returning to the area have access to an excellent education .

In 2021 , we will further expand projects like Seroond and the Káits Social Innovation Incubator so that we can put Armenia at the forefront of change . This is in addition to
