Teach For All
The world can be a lonely place , especially in times of crisis . At Teach For Armenia , we are grateful to be a part of a global network of leaders who rallied behind us during such a challenging year .
At the start of the pandemic , Teach For All was quick to respond to the needs of network partners like Teach For Armenia , providing us with spaces to collaborate across borders in order to share best practices in online learning . By drawing on learning from various network partners , we transformed our summer teacher training program into an online experience , inclusive of a Virtual Student Leadership Camp . In fact , Teach For Armenia was selected by Teach For All to present a Network Breakthrough presentation during its annual Global Conference . This is an honor bestowed on organizations and individuals that have pioneered new strategies that have achieved a “ breakthrough ,” which can serve as an example to other network partners around the world .
Meanwhile , as Teach For Armenia navigated the complexity of the recent conflict , the network was there to provide support . At Teach For Armenia , we believe that true peace in the world can only be achieved by providing an equitable education . Furthermore , we believe that it is a child ’ s inherent right to receive an education , regardless of where they are born — that includes conflict-affected areas . It was through this lens that Teach For All and its partners supported Teach For Armenia . In particular , through Teach For All ’ s Education in Emergencies initiative , Teach For Armenia received guidance and training in order to reach students displaced who were temporarily resettled across Armenia . Meanwhile , partners across the globe shone much needed visibility on our humanitarian relief efforts Teach For Peace and Teach For Hope .
Without Teach For All ’ s ongoing and robust support , Teach For Armenia would not be where it is today . Because of the network , we are seeing a growing movement of equity-minded leaders across Armenia . Our collective mission will one day be achieved in part due to the knowledge-sharing and mutual learning that exists across borders .
Furthermore , Teach For All continues to support Teach For Armenia in its efforts to achieve scale , in particular around fundraising . At the end of 2020 , Teach For Armenia was informed that it had secured funding through Teach For All ’ s “ Don ’ t Stop Learning ” campaign , a pandemic-related effort to ensure students in need received access to an excellent education . Additionally , through Teach For All ’ s partnership with Deutsche Post DHL Group , Teach For Armenia received more than $ 60,000 in order to support Change-Based Learning . This is in addition to serving as the sub-grantor of multiple substantial international grants that have allowed Teach For Armenia to grow in scale .
