Nethybridge 2018 (by Cole and Irvine)
On the last week of the first term, all the P7 classes had a chance to go to Nethybridge.
All the children were excited for their upcoming adventure. It was a long trip and
everyone enjoyed it. Dunning and Blackford were also coming. There were exciting
activities. Children were split into groups with other school children and a teacher. You
were chosen to either stay in a house or a cabin.
We asked people who went to Nethybridge what they enjoyed from the trip. They all
loved canoeing in the freezing cold pond.
“I enjoyed the food, the canoeing and archery,” Dylan said, he also added, “I was with
my friends from different schools.”
Other activities that were favourites were the zip line and Silver Maze.
Nethybridge was visited by some TCSoA pupils before when they went skiing in P6. But
for many pupils this was their first trip. Another person who loved Nethybridge was
Abbey who said,
“I liked doing the canoeing; I also enjoyed the Silver Maze.”
“Personally I really enjoyed the canoeing and the zip line but all the other activities were
really good fun, I was also in a group with my friends which made it even better,” said
Cole. “I would really recommend going there for a week as a family because it’s really
entertaining for children and adults with lots of fun exciting events that happen.”
To finish off the week, the boys in Mr Dalrymple’s chalet wrote and recorded a rap about
their experience. Not to be out done, the teachers responded with a song, although, we
are not sure if they should quit their day job!
