Rotary Young Photographer Competition This year’s theme for the Rotary Young Photographer Competition is ‘Beauty of Nature’ and the age groups are: Intermediate 11-13 years and Senior 14 - 17 years (as at 31 August 2018). The local competition has a closing date of 15 January 2019. Members of the Auchterarder Camera club have generously offered their time to give advice to interested pupils. They will be in contact with the schools to arrange a mutually convenient time. Entry forms are available at reception. Check the Rotary Notice Board opposite the School Office, for more information. Health, Food and Textile Technology Department Website We have had a busy month. S3 Health and Food Technology pupils competed in the school heat of the Future Chef competition and Chef, Mark Heirs, came into judge. Jemma and James were our successful winners and went on to the local Perth heat on Monday 26 November. Jason Hardcastle from the Gleneagles Hotel came down and worked with our pupils, which has given them confidence in their skills and dishes. Good luck to both! Contact us Twitter S3 Fashion and Textiles pupils produced this amazing poppy art work which took centre stage at the Remembrance Assemblies. We look forward to displaying it where it can be appreciated by everyone. S1 pupils have also made huge strides with their Textile Technology. They designed and made personalised cushions and the results have shown hard work and effort. They have now moved on to Food Technology and have started to learn how to cook safely and hygienically, giving them essential skills for life.
