Visit to Crieff Golf Club (by Scott Forbes, Harry Henderson and Archie Curran)
Recently, a group of pupils working towards their SQA Personal Achievement Award,
were lucky enough to be able to visit Crieff Golf Club with Mrs Welsh and Mrs Murchie
from the Support for Learning Department.
While we were there we met Mr David Murchie, who owns the Pro Golf Shop and is the
Professional at the Club. He gave us a tour of the course; we went on a golf cart. Although
it was a cold and misty morning, we still enjoyed
the views. Once back at the shop we had hot
chocolate to warm us up, before going out to play
golf. Mr Murchie explained to us how to play golf
properly; it was really good fun. After we had
collected all the golf balls we had used, we went
to the Club House where we met the Club
Secretary, the Bar Man and the Chef. We were
lucky enough to be invited for lunch! We can
highly recommend a visit to the Golf Club and the
restaurant.
