Dinosaurs Are On The Loose! (by Niamh and Mia P6)
Primary One have been learning about dinosaurs. They are extremely excited about it.
Pupils in P1/2 have even been to the Natural History Museum. We interviewed some
pupils and asked them if they enjoyed learning about dinosaurs and they all
enthusiastically agreed that they did.
They told us that some of their favourite dinosaurs are Tyrannosaurus Rex, Allasorus,
Velociraptor, Spinosaurus and Patasaurus. They knew so much about dinosaurs!
‘Stegosaurus have plates on their back to protect themselves.’
‘When the T-Rex loose teeth they grow back quickly.’
‘The T-Rex had 60 teeth.’
‘There are herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.’
After the Christmas holidays Primary One came into school to find dinosaur eggs in their
classroom. They’ve kept them safe in an incubator but last week they hatched and the
children have been hunting for them around the school! On Monday morning this week,
children came in to find giant footprints in the school and their classrooms had been
wrecked. This sparked an investigation into what kind of dinosaur was on the loose and
where could it be now.
Keep your eyes peeled everyone!
