LAMDA Acting Exam Success (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) All 14 pupils from S1 - S6 passed their LAMDA Acting exams! The pupils have to learn up to three monologues or duologues and perform these in front of a LAMDA examiner. They need to also show knowledge of the plays and the staging they have chosen, to be able to answer questions on these in discussion with the examiner. All the pupils have worked very hard over the past many months to achieve this and should be very proud of their success. Three pupils in S6 gained their Gold Award, two S5 pupils gained their Silver Award and five pupils from S3 - S5 gained their Bronze Award. These medals are worth UCAS points for some Universities. The skills gained are also recognised widely by employers, colleges and universities because of the commitment and communication skills needed. If you are in S2 upwards from the new timetable in May and think you have the commitment and ability in acting to also do these awards, please see Mrs MacDonald in the Drama Dept. Fundraising Event Update – Motor Neurone Disease A huge thanks to all pupils, parents and staff for your kind generosity in supporting the fundraising event that took place on Friday 16 March.
