MEET THE PARTICIPANTS LISA KELLY THEODOSIA Lisa is excited to direct in her second Underground Festival. Last year, she directed Eine Sitzbank, a Festival workshop show. Recently she assistant directed Annie and Billy Elliot the Musical and stage managed Vinegar Tom at TCR. She has also worked backstage for many other shows in the past few seasons. She would like to thank Emma and Rachel for all their hard work and her cast for making this such a fun Festival experience. LIN KEMP I MARRIED A NUN Lin was born and raised in Cedar Rapids and is the author of several plays which have been produced by Theatre Cedar Rapids during their Underground New Play Festival. NICK KILBURG THEODOSIA/TINDER NEVER LIES Nick is thrilled to be back in the Grandon, having previously appeared in several Underground Festival plays over the years, as well as in TCR’s 2017 production of The Crucible. His more quotidian role is that of an attorney in Iowa City. As always, he is thankful for the support and seemingly-infinite patience of his wife, Desirée. DUANE LARSON THE NIGHT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT IN NASA Duane has been a part of the TCR Underground Festival since FESTIVAL | theatrecr.org it’s beginning in 2010. He has performed in the Festival and has had several plays produced, including Turf (2013), The Concentrated Masses (2014), Cutting the Cord (2016) and Hookup of Justice (2017). He has acted on stage at TCR, RHCR, Dreamwell, ICCT, and with other local theatre groups. ZAYLA MACKRELL I MARRIED A NUN Zayla is very excited for her debut performance at TCR! In the past, she has also been involved in Revival Theatre Company’s production of Evita and the past two 24-Hour Play Festivals from RHCR. She is also an alumni of J.F. Kennedy’s theatre program. In her spare time, Zayla enjoys writing for the stage. She thanks you for coming to see her and everyone else in the Underground! CHEYENNE MANN SUICIDE ANONYMOUS Cheyenne is a 16-year-old student currently enrolled at Linn-Mar High School. She is thrilled to be making her debut into public theatre in the Underground New Play Festival. BRIAN MARKOWSKI CONFESSIONS OF A GAY CATHOLIC Born in a small wood cabin, contained within Memorial Hospital on the Western edge of Chicago, Il, Brian Markowski entered this world with one purpose… to make 18
