School districts across the nation are considering and implementing improvements to their teacher compensation structure. In an
effort to better define and develop teacher effectiveness, districts
are creating new comprehensive teacher evaluation systems that
are linked to the teacher’s annual compensation. The overall goal
is to identify and help teachers who are progressing get better,
move proficient teachers toward excellence, and recognize those
who are truly exemplary. Dallas ISD is the latest district to recognize and engage teacher excellence with its improved compensation structure.
