This extended presentation will focus on the three major employer
requirements under the ACA: offering coverage, affordable coverage, and reporting requirements. First, we will review progress
toward compliance with the requirement to offer coverage and the
affordability requirement. Second, we will discuss the upcoming
reporting requirements, including tracking strategies. We will
touch on the other employer requirements of the ACA, including
nondiscrimination, non-retaliation, and mandatory enrollment.
Finally, we will look at what we know - and what we don’t know
- about possible legislative changes to health benefits for Texas
school employees.

experienced the fine details of Electronic Bidding. Through this
educational track, attendees will see and learn the elements of
working with an electronic bidding application to create solicitations, manage supplier outreach options, monitor response
activity, view tabulation and evaluation reports, and make award
decisions. The presenter will show live examples of the types of
solicitations currently being conducted by peer Texas agencies
online including Quotations, Sealed Bids, Request for Proposals,
and Construction Bids.
